Can I be a pilot for the R.A.F or the U.S Air Force if I wear glasses or have had laser eye surgery?
Hi Guys, I’m almost 16 years old and I’m really short sited, but, glasses give me great vision. I want to know whether I would be able to join either the R.A.F or The U.S Air Force, if I have laser eye surgery done or still wear glasses by the time I apply for the role of a pilot in the future. there are some rumors that eye surgery would disqualified students who wants to become a pilot and there are some that says it is OK as long you get a waiver with the ROTC detachment after a whole year from the surgery date.
