I don’t want to wear glasses and I’m so scared to touch my eyes that it’s nearly a phobia which is why I can’t wear contacts. I think that LASIK is great because it lasts for a long time. Are the risks worth the nearly-perfect vision without the need of glasses?

I been thinking of doing laser eye surgery for both of my eyes…but I am not sure 100% if it is a safe procedure. I wear glasses and I don’t mind really wearing them. They look good on me but at the same time I would like to have perfect vision. What do you suggest?

Ok, so I know that laser eye surgery gives you perfect vision If, ‘successfully’ completed. But is it still possible to lose that perfect vision after surgery or throughout the years? Is it permanent?

I am scheduled for my Wavefront Lasik surgery next week. I was told this is the most recent, top of the line procedure available to date. I want to achieve better than perfect vision (20/10 or 20/15); and although it is not guaranteed, Wavefront Lasik has a higher percentage of success compared to other procedures to achieve, what I like to call, "high definition vision". Does anyone have any testimonials or web site links to verify if this is statistically true?

my left eye has almost perfect vision. my right eye, however, is half blind. (my doc said that if i ever lost my left eye i’d be considered legally blind, although i’d still be able to see a little).
anyway, my right eye has a pretty bad astigmatism. my cornea is healthy and i’d only have to get one eye done.

i’d have to wait 3 years anyway, though.
but i’m not sure what the other qualifications are for lasik, so do you think i qualify?

          thanks!

I’m super sick of wearing contact lenses, and when I saw and advert on the tv for laser eye correction the idea looked very appealing. I honestly can’t say how much it would mean to me to have perfect vision. I’m seriously considering it, and obviously I would like to know of any cons against it. Thanks xx
