I’ve used both eye glasses and contacts but im looking to rid myself of both. glasses are anoying and contacts irritate my eyes. Is laser surgery safe?

Hi,
I am 26 year old.past ten years i am wearing eye glasses because of short sight problem. I am thinking to take laser surgery to get rid of the glasses but i am scared of losing my eye shight in the surgery process.
If any one clarify me on this that would be great.

Hi. My vision in one eye is good. Like 20/30 i think. But my other eye is bad. I have to get different contacts for each eye, and my eye glasses are different of each side. I want laser eye surgery. But I only want it for my bad eye. Mainly to save money, and the other reason is because I don’t feel that I need it for the other eye.
What do you think. Is this possible, can it be done?

Seems like they want people to go through the rest of your life wearing eye glasses or contact lens. There doesn’t seem to be any real cure of people with poor eye sight. Their eye sight will always get worse. Is poor eye sight a condition that is not treatable? All the eye doctor does is get a person stronger glasses over their life time. If Lasik Eye Surgery is close to a cure for poor eye sight why doesn’t the insurance companies approve of it?
