Question about Lasik eye surgery?
I went to my eye doctor today to be evaluated for Lasik eye surgery. I wear bifocals, so he said I could have surgery in one eye for far sided and the other for near sided and that way I wouldn’t have to rely on any glasses but would take some getting used to with the lop-sided vision……or he said I could get both eyes done for far sided but have to rely on reading glasses for anything up close.
He gave me some contacts today that simulate what it would be like to live with the lop-sided vision, and it isn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but my vision isn’t as sharp as I had hoped.
Does anyone know of any other options? I don’t know what the best decision is.

would I be able to get Lasik eye surgery?
I have an astigmatism in my left eye and because of this my left eye has kind of poor vision but my right eye is fine. I went to my eye doctor and he said that besides the astigmatism the eye looked healthy and that my brain might just not know how to use it or something. if I can get the surgery at what age can I get it?

Have you or anyone you know had Lasik eye surgery?
I’ve had to wear glasses my whole life starting at age 3 and it soooo sucked now i’m 27 i have a job and no kids and i figured "hey i can afford it, why not" the doctor gave me a list of references but i would rather ask someone that dosnt come from the doctor. What can i expect during and after the sergury. My insurance will pay 15% of it so it comes out to about 1200 each eye. I know there are cheaper ones but with something like this i dont want to find the cheapest, you know that saying "u get what u pay for". what r your thoughts on Lasik….go for it or go buy more contacts and why?
my eye doctor did tell me however when i’m about 40 i’ll have to get reading glasses. i just dont know if its worth it when eventually i’ll be a back to glasses again but then again there reading glass and i dont have to wear them all the time like i do know. but i would love to have that feeling of waking up in the middle of the night and be able to see the clock, or go swimming and go under water and be able to look without having to wear those dorky looking googles or rub my eyes and not have to worry about moving my contact….i just dont know i’m kind of in the middle.

Lasik Eye Surgery?
My eyes are awful… one is -9.25 and the other is -7.25, I also have astigmatism.
My eye doctor told me a few years ago my eyes were too bad to have lasik surgery done but he could insert a lens into my eye (kind of the way they do cataracts? from what I understood).
Has anyone ever had this surgery done?
Is any surgery able to correct my awful vision?

How long is the waiting list for Laser Eye Surgery in the Marine Corps?
I know it depends on where you are stationed but i’m just asking. I have (not really sure can’t really remember what the eye doctor told me) 20/220 or 20/250. Something like that haha. I would like to get Laser Eye Surgery so I can perform better when I enlist in 2015

I was told by my eye doctor today that I’m a good candidate, He wants 00.00 for Plano and 00.00 for custom. My brother had it done in SLC, Ut for 00.00 I have other friends that have traveled to Canada to have it done for 0.00 and all are very happy with the results. I live in Boise, Idaho I would appreciate opinions from people that have hade it done. Is this Doctor high priced? Thank you!

When I was younger I received laser eye surgery and now it's common for me to see a green light.?
When I was younger I was hit directly in the eye with a tennis ball. I immediately went to the eye doctor and he told me that I needed to receive laser eye surgery or else my retina was going to detach from my eye. After surgery, it is common for me to see a green light flash in the corner of my eye, usually when at night or in dark areas. Is there a reason why this occurs?

Can I get lasik eye surgery?
Is there a cut off point on getting lasik eye surgery? My eye sight is at -7.5 and I have an astigmatism. I was wondering if I can recieve lasik surgery? Also, just wondering, if my eye doctor says they can’t get my eye with the astigmatism exactly back to 20/20 with contact lenses does that mean I am legally blind in that one eye?

Should I wait a little longer for Lasik Eye Surgery?
I am in my 20′s, so I am old enough but a guy I play poker with is a eye doctor. He says that he sees people come in all the time having trouble with their eyes after the surgery. He said the chances of something seriously going wrong with your eyes are very slim but a lot of patients still have to wear glasses or get more surgery later on.
What do you guys think, any of you that have had it have any complaints?
