LASIK Surgery Prices and Procedure Costs

I’m a 19 year old male and I have poor eye sight. Usually I wear contacts, but as some of you know they are pretty expensive. My dad really wants me to get lasik eye surgery, especially since I’m about to get kicked off my parents’ insurance plan. I have some questions:
1. Does it hurt?
2. What are the chances of complications during surgery?
3. What are the chances of me going blind?
Thanks, I’m really nervous about this operation…half of me wants to do it, the other half doesn’t.

I asked my Dr. and he said it’s ok to wear contact lens before u do lasik eye surgery. U can take off ur contact and wear glasses a month before the lasik. But the other Dr that my dad had known said u can’t do the surgery after u wore contact lens?? I’m confusing cause I’m 15 now, and i want to do the surgery when I’m 21 years old. I also want to wear contact lens cause it’s easier to play sports or activities. Somebody had worn contact lens and had done Lasik surgery before please share and help me. Thanks a lot.

My dad have color blindness and I’ am really worried what will happen if I get the surgery.

My dad had lasik eye surgery about two years ago, and he has double vision since the second week after the surgery. (he never had double vision before the surgery)
The doctor who did the surgery for my dad couldn’t find a way to cure my dad’s double vision. My dad went to see a different doctore, but still no postive answer.
Right now my dad still wears glasses and sees double. He is a very busy man, I hope i can find a way to help him out.
Does anyone know how to cure double vision that suffered from lasik eye surgery. (don’t just say go to see a doctor, it didn’t work)
Please provide any kind of methods, or the name of a good doctor who has dealt with this kind of problem before.

I was told by my dad that back in the day (about 20 years ago) they were not allowed to get laser eye surgery because no one knew the side effects at the time. So he had to wait until he was out of the CG to get his.
I’m talking about laser eye surgery to correct 20/80 vision. My lenses on my glasses/contacts are -1.00

My dad is going to have surgery on his eye to remove some scar tissue that has been growing since he was burned about two years ago. What will happen if he doesnt have the surgery. is it painfull and how long will he have to stay home there going to use a blade on his eye

My dad is getting laser eye surgery to correct his vision, and I told him to let me try and find the best place for him to have it done. He heard that the University of Miami had a good center for it, but one of his clients said that her employers practice had fixed a lot of patients from the UM center.
Anyone who has had the procedure, or an expert in the field, please offer insight. We are located in South Florida, but travel isn’t too big of a deal within the country.
